Masonic Temple

The Masonic Temple in Nashua has a copper turret clearly visible from Main Street. Over the years, the copper had oxidized to the extent that the copper turret appeared totally green.
The restoration of the copper turret involved cleaning the old copper in order to remove all of the natural green patina created by exposure to the moisture in the air. The process of cleaning the copper creates a heavy metal residue which itself had to be collected, disposed of, and contained so as not to be a threat to the environment.
Where we couldn't simply clean the old copper, we replaced with new after aging it to exactly match the older copper. We retreated the entire copper surface, including the new areas of replacement, to create a consistent walnut tone over the entire structure, so as to match the color tone of the existing windows in the turret.
The completion of this highly recognized project resulted in a contract to renovate Villa Banca Restaurant (formerly Cafe Pavone).
